Local community-based print, radio and TV and social media will be utilized to maximize our outreach to increase attendance and booth display allocations.

About the Organizer

Seattle Chinese Times is proud to present its third year of hosting and organizing the Lunar New Year Festival, to bring the festive traditions and continue the Asian/Chinese heritage culture in the Puget Sound area. 

Seattle Chinese Times launched its first edition in May 2004, since then, the publication has become the “media partner” to the advertisers and readers. The mission of the newspaper is to support the community, Promote Asian/Chinese culture and continuously expand the service to maintain a quality media publication to the Chinese/Asian ethnic group audience in the Greater Puget Sound, Portland and Vancouver, B.C. Canada in the Northwest with a total circulation of 10,000 copies.

       

Event History, traffic record and 2010 Event Target Audience

The 2007 Year of the Pig Celebration held at Crossroads Mall marked the inaugural Lunar New Celebration in Bellevue neighborhood and was attended by an extensive crowd and 20 booth participants.  This cultural celebration event continued in 2008 with a higher attendance record and 40 booth participants at Factoria Mall, Bellevue, through additional publicity coverage and space capacity.  The venue was warmly welcomed and accepted by visitors from different part of the Metropolitan Seattle. The past events were attended by a crowd of over 30,000 audiences.

During the 2-day event, Factoria Mall will be filled with array of spectacular entertainment, merchandises, arts & crafts products, festive flavors.  The event also helps promote novice and entrepreneurs to exhibit their products and services to their target customers.
