Computex Taipei –– May 28, 2010 ––As Computex, the world’s second largest IT tradeshow and the largest of its kind in Asia, is to celebrate its 30th anniversary, the Taipei Computer Association (TCA) will unveil an advanced global virtual tradeshow (http://www.computex.biz/computex2010_3D), and many prestigious companies like Intel, AMD, NVIDIA, ASUS, Gigabyte, MSI, Clevo, KWorld, and RiTEK will participate.

Built on the state-of-the-art 6Connex Virtual Experience Platform, the first 3D virtual exhibition in Taiwan will provide exhibitors with interactive demonstrations, the highest level of information security, as well as business to business (B2B) social engagement and communication. In sync with Computex, Virtual TradeshowCOMPUTEX.biz, will be online from June 1 to June 5 to serve as a supplement to Computex in facilitating more comprehensive global reach. In addition to regular exhibition hours, the 6Connex Virtual Experience Platform provides around the clock on-demand access up to three months until August 31, enabling 54 times the duration (5 live days times 8 hours per day followed by 90 days of 24 hour access) for this 3D Virtual Tradeshow @ COMPUTX.biz.

Intel Exhibit Hall: Real time keynote and virtual exhibition

3D Virtual Tradeshow @ COMPUTEX.biz contains three exhibit halls—Major Exhibit Hall, Intel Exhibit Hall, and Best Choice Award and Partner Exhibit Hall. David Perlmutter, Executive Vice President, General Manager of Intel Architecture Group, Intel Corp., will give a keynote speech, titled “The Best is Yet to Come: the Impact of the Compute Continuum for Taiwan, Intel and the Technology Industry,” at COMPUTEX e21Forum on June 1 in Taipei. To further make its virtual expo an extension of its physical event, Intel will host a live webcast of Perlmutter’s presentation on the 3D Virtual Tradeshow @ COMPUTEX.biz. Visitors who register first and log in before 2PM, June 1, can enter the Auditorium and watch the streaming feed online.

 

iPad to be given away during Computex

During Computex, the Virtual Tradeshow pre-registered attendees will have a chance to win the latest mobile cloud application device, iPad and the 3D Taiwan post card provided by TCA.
