(Edited from Korea Times, Seattle) The Korea Times Seattle hosted the 8th Miss Korea Beauty Pageant-NW Regional Final on June 11th at Shoreline Community College Theater.

All the 11 contestants competed for a title of Miss Jin, in the area of swim suit, evening gown, interview and talent show. The competition started at 5:30 and lasted for 3 grueling hours.

All the 11 contestants competed for a title of Miss Jin, in the area of swim suit, evening gown, interview and talent show. The competition started at 5:30 and lasted for 3 grueling hours.

The 7 judges included Jimin Cho, plastic surgeon from Nuview Clinic; Julie Sun, Miss Washington and Idaho USA judge; and Myung Park, vice president from Lake Washington Technical College; crowned Jina Park, 22 years old from Kenmore as winner.

Jina Park just graduated from University of Washington and is preparing to take Financial Planner Certification Examination. Along with the crown, she was awarded a round trip ticket to Korea and $1,000 scholarship. She will be competing as Miss Seattle in the upcoming Miss Korea Festival, scheduled July 25th in Korea.

Miss Sun crowned the second place winner Sunmin Lee (24, Vancouver BC), who wishes to do Christian missionary work through mass media; the third-place winner was given to Anny Tung (18, Vancouver BC); Elizabeth Park won Miss Asiana (4th winner) title; and Ji-Eun Kim won 5th title, Miss Korea Times.
