Seattle Council Passes ‘Meathead Ordinance’

(AP, Seattle) The Seattle City Council has approved a $100 fine for rowdy behavior after bars close.

The measure that passed Monday is known as the “meathead ordinance.”

The measure that passed Monday is known as the “meathead ordinance.”

It will allow police to write tickets for fighting, making threats or creating noisy disturbances.

Mayor Mike McGinn has endorsed the ordinance and is expected to sign it into law. I would take effect by November.
