Starbucks donates $1.2 million to relief in Japan

StarbucksAP, Seattle – Starbucks is contributing about $1.2 million to the Red Cross for earthquake and tsunami relief efforts in Japan.

CEO Howard Schultz extended condolences Tuesday to bereaved families and others impacted by the disaster.

The Seattle-based coffee company has been doing business in Japan for 15 years.
