Celebrating the Asian American culture in the Pacific Northwest, the 2011 Dragon Festival will bring entertainment, food, and street contest to the International District.

A fan of performances?

On top of the Chinese’s well-known spirited lion and dragon dances, visitors will be able to see martial arts demonstrations, Japanese Taiko drumming, magic show, and other cultural dances.

Got a palate for Asian food?

The festival will host a Food Walk with many of Chinatown-ID’s restaurants, offering a variety of $2 cuisine samples, such as bubble tea, spring rolls, dim sum, and pastries.

Love Japanese anime?

Anime fans should not miss out on the cosplay contest happening on Saturday’s evening. Winners will receive surprise prizes from the event sponsors. Participants can either preregister online or sign up on the day of the event before 4p.m. at the “Anime Registration Booth”.
