The 50-member Seattle Chinese Orchestra is the only traditional Chinese orchestra in the Pacific Northwest. The forefather of SCO was a Chinese folk music ensemble founded by musician Warren Chang, who now serves as music director; Roger Nelson conducts the orchestra, which includes bow-stringed instruments, plucked instruments, woodwind instruments, and percussion.
