Last Friday was my first time attending a fashion show and the experience I got from blazing models and amazing fashion designs was an eye-opener.

The IMAGINE fashion show was all about the unexpected mix of whimsical prints and vibrant colors for the modern men and women. Every model vied with each other for glamor on the runway that dazzled all the audiences in the Museum of Flight on Sept. 7.

Presented by International Academy of Design and Technology (IADT-Seattle) and sponsored by Macy’s, the 7th Annual IMAGINE Fashion Show collaborated with the 1st Annual Portfolio Gallery that included design works from students from all programs. The event was no doubt an unprecedented success, leaving people wondering how they would do even better the next time around.

“This is one of the best fashion shows I have ever seen,” IADT-Seattle’s president Khaled Sakalla said. “Our students worked extremely hard to prepare for this special event. We also hope that this event can inspire future fashion designers.”

At the end of the show, IADT announced the winners of this year, which were based on the votes from the judges.

Best Cocktail: Virginia Lloyd-Barron
Best Daywear: Vanessa Duke
Best Evening Wear: Taylor Hinton
Best Performance/Costume: Karen Langley
Alumni Best of Show: Gingerlyn Bellus
