What’s in it for you:
This time around, players can also play as Cyli on her hover board, or Spiral piloting the cherry copter. The levels that involve either of these characters are a good change of pace from the standard platforming Pac Man levels, and are definitely a welcome addition. One major fix I noticed in Ghostly Adventures 2 was the camera. The camera in the first game would pick weird places to be in and would often disorient gameplay, but not the camera performs very well in-game. The core gameplay hasn’t changed from the first game, so don’t expect too much to be changed there. Ghostly Adventures 2 does feel slightly more linear than the previous game, but this was probably done to help fix the camera issues from the first game. Ghostly Adventures 2 is a solid platformer for kids, not adults. The game lacks a certain depth, polish, and creativeness for adults for teens to enjoy, but it does pack enough simplistic fun for kids or viewers of the TV show to enjoy. There aren’t very many platforming games on the market today, and it’s a shame that Pac Man and the Ghostly Adventures 2 doesn’t pack quite enough punch to cater to a wider audience.

3DS Review:
The 3DS version of Ghostly Adventures 2 is the same fully fledged game as the console versions, just with toned down graphics. Since the core game is a basic platformer with some combat, the 3DS handles the controls very nicely, and is easy to play on the go. Unfortunately, the graphics on the 3DS version aren’t too crisp, adnd the game tends to have lag during most sections of the gameplay. The lag doesn’t make Pac Man unplayable, but it is certainly noticeable. I would recommend the console version over the 3DS version any day, even for a younger audience.
